Nothing like a catcall on a comfortable cashmere sweater to kick start the early signs of spring. This time of year, like most others, comfort and not freezing is one of my main priorities.
I’m not usually one for slogans sweaters, however something neutral and non aggressive (like so many tend to be) is a winner for me, thanks Chinti & Parker! I’m really loving the idea of utilitarian bags, allowing enough room for a book, possibly a camera, my sunglasses, spectacles and a few beauty bits. This tan leather Loewe bag is perfect for this, not quite allowing me to lug my lap top around, but enough to know that you’re set for the day or a long distant journey.
Like denim, khaki can be collected in abundance as it works casually and formally as well as having the tendency to tone a look down as well as spruce it up when necessary. In the form of trousers, shirts and light jackets, like this silk version by Raquel Allegra, who is usually known for her tie dye printing and oversized garments but in this case claimed a perfect silk mixed jacket, adding a bit of a lux to this day time jeans and jumper look.
I’m constantly on the prowl for new jewellery pieces and have recently come across the brand Ora Pearls. Whilst pearls hold the flag for classic jewellery, Ora Pearls have the best quality pearls from the creative director Bibi’s vast knowledge and passion for pearls. From the sourcing quality and production, mostly from the east where pearls come in their best and rawest form, she has injected a major element of ‘cool’ into the design of the brand. From dainty gold rings and bracelets adorned with a singular pearls, to the more chunky metals overloaded with pearls in different colours, it’s a great go-to brand for pearls.
