So… have a guess – It’s that time of year and I’m obsessing over anything whimsical and floral right now. If you read my blog often or even tune into my Instagram, it’s fair to say I like to ‘throw-things-on’ and wear clothes that ‘speak-for-themselves’. Currently throw on floral dresses are my thing. It’s boiling outside at the moment (for London standards) and I can’t bare to wear anything too tight around the waistline or any part of my body for that matter. I want to wear clothes that allow me some room to breath and move freely.
Moving away from the boyish clothes that I am always drawn to, as well as darker colours (I’m learning) we have this perfect cheap and cheerful floral dress from the ultimate hub right now: Topshop. Yizzer – I never claimed I’d be solving any mysteries on the blog – but damn they have a bloody good selection in at the moment. I did a smash and grab a couple of weeks ago and had to restrain myself because I have an ever growing rail of florally dresses. The second floral dress in yellow I found on sale at Sandro – winning! It kind of reminds me of Vetements (a bit)? Anyway I think it will come in super handy for a summer soiré of some sort or perhaps even a wedding as it’s wedding season right now. Anyway I am wearing every single one of the floral dress purchases through and through, so no regrets here.
The best thing is you can wear your floral dress with trainers, sandals, heeled boots or even some penny loafers like mine below from GH Bass. When I’m riding the tube although I’m not completely averse to wearing sandals if I overthink it, it really grosses me out which is why when I’m city trawling I like to cover up my tootsies. x
