My summer wardrobe is still itching to come into full flight. Perhaps I’m going to have to save it for little trips abroad this summer coming up! Instead I thought I’d spice up some of my usual basics with some new accessories that I have picked up along with way.
Starting with a plain black tank top from Brandy Melville which is my recent favourite go-to shop for basics and some boyfriend jeans (called the Girlfriend Jean) from Topshop. Moving away from my usual gold jewellery I’v gone with the silver look with a statement pendant from the lovely new jewellery designer Nana Fink. She has a gorgeous selection and her collection is available to buy online and in Paul Smith stores.
Some Celine sunglasses, this year in yellow because why not! To finish off the look with some of my old time ‘fugly’ favourite flat sandals by Marni. I actually bought these from the Outnet four years ago – oddly I have always had an obsession with fugly shoes and now they seem to be all the craze.
I love investing in little gems that what makes a simple look feel unique. The best thing is there is no right or wrong way to do it. Pick some different coloured sunnies this summer (Celine and Topshop to the rest of the high street have great ranges), a special necklace and weird shoes, the weirder the better.
