Year upon year the fashion circle spins and there are a few conventions that I’m not letting go of anytime soon. Beginning with the cashmere jumper that tends to have a little Chinti ring to it: that Chinti and Parker cashmere sweater. I know it’s summertime but let’s face it in London you always need something cashmere within reach, and this lovely Aztec-cy print cashmere jumper is my go to right now.
Whether it’s of an evening, a chilly day in summer (highly likely tomorrow’s or yesterday’s, comfort for a flight or anything, I always have room for a good piece of cashmere, and good quality cashmere. I love wearing black and muted colours, but forgetting about my naturally inclined dress code colour actually suits me better. I think if you have dark hair and skin, you need to roll out the colour a lot because colour looks really vibrant on you.
With this look in particular I do feel like I’m back in my London Girl zone. Wearing great mini denim skirt reminiscing the 90s along with a Chelsea boot putting me together makes my strut feel serious. I feel like 8 times out of 10 I could throw on this look almost all year round and feel powerful. Albeit chuck my latest Chinti and Parker knit on gives me something to say, visually shouting out loud, along with a light dusting from JW Anderson with an epistemically 90s handbag representative for true London girl. There are loads more quirky prints and motifs by Chinti & Parker this season – as usual mixing comfort, utility and cool all in one.
