The Midseason Bouclé

I got hold of this delightful blurry checked jacket is now on sale at Net-a-Porter. I bought it back in December, rather unsure of when and how exactly I was going to wear it. Whilst it’s a woolen mohair jacket of a wintery effect, it works well as the perfect transeasonal throw over, not too hot or not too nippy either. Giving much consideration to my  developing bump, I decided to indulge in the lovely oversized jacket which I thought would work really well for around March time and here we are.

I’v had my fair share of moment where I’v been so uninspired with fashion and when that’s the case I just try and start with black and then layer some pieces on top to make it interesting I guess. If you were feeling a little more sassy I think this look would look really cute with a leather skirt of some sort and a tight black polo neck. Sassy-ness has for sure been a slight drag at times as I’m not used to having a baby growing inside me so baby steps it is for me when it comes to re configuring my wardrobe around the bump. This black dress from Zara is fab though for bumbling around town, the house or even dressed up in the evening with a pair of boots.

Luckily I’v always had a penchant for things that are oversized and comfortable, so adjusting to a totally maternity wardrobe hasn’t been the case (as of yet). I’d like to think anyone could have access to this super easy to wear, understated and slightly grungy look – what dya reckon? How about these baby hairs hey that’s pregnancy for you apparently, and I’m rolling with it. Full outfit details below. x
