I have a huge love for all things over sized. Though, as a smaller person I have to be rather strategic about how I get my oversized fix in. Today it’s in the form of a crispy jacket in a light summer powdery pastel, draped over white on almost white. I kind of don’t mind a skinny jean that’s on the anti-fit spectrum completely unintentionally. I think it takes the jean away from the more ‘wag’ style of styling. I am eyeing up a few of these light weight jackets this season. They are a perfect halfway mark when it’s slightly to cold to not be wearing a jacket but a little sunshine keeps the jacket light.
I feel most comfortable when a formal outfit is thrown slightly off piste with something oversized or ‘messy’ in some way shape or form. This is me seriously going to town by pairing an all white look with a pair of classic stilettos that I will probably next be wearing at one of my friends weddings this summer. The shirt I’m wearing is actually more of a kaftan from the boutique House of Tabla. I’m always loving on anything with a slight ethnic touch. Loads more to come on the Indian side of things.
I topped off the very pastel look with a bit of light frosting in the form of jewels from Carat London. I feel like I have channeled a bit of an Amal Clooney vibe without even knowing it – what do you reckon? Outfit deets below. x
