Tis’ the season to wear dresses! I don’t know about you but as the summer kicks in I have so many occasions coming up that requires me to fix up and wear a dress. Unlike my usual uniform of something denim related, it’s often a struggle for me to find something to wear that’s ‘dressy’ (literally). Warmer evenings, summer soirees and weekend gatherings are calling and I am on the serious hunt for outfits to float around in.
For me I like to feel feminine, as well as staying on the cool side of the spectrum. By this I mean, slipping something on, letting my hair be free, throwing on some sunnies and wearing a shoe that allows me walk without a condition that I need a taxi to be ordered at every eventuality. This look by L.K. Bennett does exactly that for me. A floaty and feminine printed dress, ultimately feminine in it’s neckline and beautifully silhouetted with a print.
I have worn a couple of pairs of shoes in this post for variation. A perfect pop of royal blue in the form of a very easy-to-wear sandal and another is more perked up in height with a slight cork platform with woven leather (SO comfortable). That’s the other thing… for me when it comes to buying shoes, I very much like to get my wear out of them. I like to wear them with a shirt and tank top perhaps or even some jeans and a light summer knit on those cold summer eves. Comfiness is a total winner and shoes from L.K. Bennett in my experience deliver just that. I know that these kicks will give me 360 degrees worth of wear and for a spectrum of occasions which is a winner for me. With loads of beautifully cut dresses and an abundance of shoes of all heights and colours, L.K. Bennett is a good start to kick of the season. Full outfit details are below.
