It’s official – The Bumpsuit! So you may have noticed I feel like my personal style has had a little bit of a re vamp lately. Of course I have a bump to consider which is definitely part of it, but I also feel like I’ve been generally making more of a considered effort to dressing up, as in not just reverting back to the easy basics which I do so much of. I mean Jeans and t-shirts.
I think when you’re pregnant that ‘grungy-hobo-I-don’t-care’ kind of look is hard to continuously pass as ‘cool’ because you run the risk of looking like a total scruff bag the whole time. Also I think throughout pregnancy there are so many moments where you’re much less agile and feel a little slow and lethargic all round, that sometimes dressing the part can do wonders for your head – even if it’s just looking the part for a few hours whilst you’ve popped out for a meeting, lunch or dinner. Also celebrating this bump that you only really get to experience for a short period of your life span and that represents such an incredible thing that women are capable of, why not make the most of it. A dash of red lippy too from the new Estée Lauder collection by their global creative director Violette called Poppy Sauvage also gives that instant feeling of ready-to-go. The scarf wrapped around my picnic basket come handbag is also from the make-up collection – which I’m totally obsessed with.
In terms of the heels, I definitely choose my moments when to wear them so don’t be fooled by my blog posts. I would equally wear this look with some New Balance trainers or some comfortable flat sandals especially in this heat as carrying that extra baby weight, which is slowly taking a toll on my feet and knees. I have attached a look book below below of this yummy mummy bumpsuit maternity jumpsuit from Jojo Maman Bebe plus a few others in my radar.
