There is nothing like finding a vintage item of clothing that you love. The theory is that everything in fashion has already been ‘done’ so to speak. Once upon a time, that piece existed in its own context and remains a part of a big cycle. Pretty cool right? I found this super cool silk Celine skirt in a little haven called Vintage Modes, which is in the Antique Market (in the basement) just off South Molten Street in London.
I’m not too sure about the era that it belongs to but I fell in love with it immediately and now wear it like it’s new. Usually vintage designer items are incredibly well-made as there will only have been a small amount of them put into production if that. Proud purchase.
There are so many amazing outlets that house amazing vintage designer and non designer pieces all over London, the rest of the world and online. More information about my favourite vintage shops to go foraging to come soon! Iv decided to team it up with a suede biker jacket, a plain grey t-shirt and some black boots of course.
